This supports the Department of Education’s Alternative Learning System, which provides practical options to those out-of-school youth, working individuals or those who desire to continue their high school studies. Mapua University opened its learning facilities for the community to do learning sessions facilitated by volunteer faculty, students and staffs. For over a decade since 2006, a total of ninety-three (93) learners mentored by Mapua passed the national examination given by the government certifying that said passers had completed their high school degree.
